His expertise spans hospitality, residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, where he has consistently led design efforts from early visioning through to realization. With an extensive background working across Africa, the Middle East, and beyond, Willem brings a strategic understanding of how architecture responds to scale, setting, and programmatic needs.

Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles at internationally recognized studios, where he guided multidisciplinary teams and oversaw the design of complex resort destinations, private residences, and urban master plans. His design process integrates creative foresight with a deep technical foundation, resulting in solutions that are both refined and highly functional.

At H’Collective, Willem plays a central role in defining the architectural direction of the studio, ensuring that every project reflects both contextual awareness and a commitment to excellence. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of the Free State and is a registered professional architect.
